Getting Started with ChinaYung
Welcome to ChinaYung — the ingredient management platform built for restaurants. This guide walks you through your first login, shows you around the dashboard, and helps you set up your restaurant profile. You will be up and running in under five minutes.
Logging In
To access your ChinaYung account, navigate to your restaurant’s login page at your personal subdomain (e.g. yourrestaurant.gastrologin.com). Enter the email address and password you received during registration.
If you have forgotten your password, click Reset Password below the login form. A reset link will be sent to your registered email address within a few minutes.

Dashboard Overview
After logging in, you land on the Dashboard — your central hub for everything related to your restaurant’s ingredient data.
The dashboard shows you:
- Mapping Progress — A progress bar showing how many of your products have been linked to standardized ingredients.
- Allergen Coverage — At a glance, see whether your allergen declarations are complete.
- Recent Activity — The latest mappings and changes across your account.

Restaurant Details
Before you start managing your ingredients, make sure your restaurant profile is complete. Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar to review and update:
- Restaurant Name — The name displayed on your public menu page and allergen declarations.
- Address — Street, city, and postal code. This is used for your menu URL and legal footer.
- Contact Information — Phone number and email. Customers see this on your public menu page.
- Cuisine Type — Select your primary cuisine (e.g., Italian, Chinese, Steakhouse). This helps ChinaYung suggest relevant ingredients during mapping.

Tip: Keep your restaurant name consistent with how it appears on your storefront and delivery platforms. This avoids confusion for guests viewing your digital menu.
Email Verification
After registration, you will receive a verification email at the address you provided. Click the link in that email to confirm your account.
Why does this matter?
- Verified accounts can access all features of your plan.
- Important notifications are sent to your verified email.
- Password resets require a verified email address.
If you did not receive the verification email, check your spam folder first. You can also request a new verification email from Settings > Account.
